A Visit From The Bringer

It's not my official blog update day (which is supposed to be Sunday), but I've been absent for over a week so thought it was time to make it up.  Why was I MIA?  I had a visit form The Bringer.

Damian Junter, the hero in my m/m steampunk found his way back to me.  Have I mentioned how much I love Damian?  Only slightly more than I love his partner in crime Kell Laughlin!  Damian is a Bringer of justice in an alternative wild west where steam is still the primary source of power.  Kell is his next hit.   But when Damian discovers that Kell is not guilty of the crime for which he is accused -- well, one thing leads to another and you know.....

I recently acquired an agent -- yes an agent (squeeee!!!) to help me try to sell "The Outlaw."  She recommended making the story a little longer so that it would qualify for more publishers.  So, I put aside my zombie romance novel (No Brainer) for a week to spruce up the wild west.

Several thousand words later, I've come out on the other side - and the story is much better because of the extra work :)  Damian and Kell even got to have a little more fun in the process too -- in a cave hideout in the badlands of Death Valley!!

Oh, have I mentioned how much I absolutely love these guys?  They play rough, but they play for keeps.

I hope that one day soon -- with a little luck -- everyone else will get the chance to get to know Damian and Kell.

Now . . . . . . back to zombies.  What does the zombie mafia have in store for our heroine Grace and her zombie lover Ethan??

Zombies and Vampires, oh my!

Despite the fact that I've planned Sunday as my blog update day, I didn't post last Sunday.  The good news is I was too busy with "No Brainer" my zombie romance.  This last week I was able to successfully write well over 1200 words per day and I am now over half-way finished with the novel!  During those pages, Grace finally fell into the sheets with her zombie lover Ethan.  The two also killed some lower zombies and began their attempts to covertly infiltrate the zombie mafia's red brain laboratory.

On the vampire front, Orion Masters -- the vampire slaying heroine in my upcoming release Have Stake, Will Travel -- has started her own blog.  She'll be discussing her life as a slayer, what vampires are really like, and give an insiders view into her job making cash to kill.  Check out "One Slayer's Journey" at http://orionmasters.blogspot.com/

Now, back to zombies!

Zombies and Lesbian Sex

I spent the last week knee deep in ZOMBIES.  I'm happy to report that I am 1/4 of the way through my zombie romance novel, now tentatively titled "No Brainer."  I've been writing so much about zombies, I've literally been having nightmares at night.  Wow.

I hoped to get further over the long holiday weekend, but alas, the Easter Bunny got in the way.

I also took a brief break from zombies over the weekend to write a quick F/F/F short to submit to an anthology.  "1950's Tea Party" tells the story of three housewives who get together in a yellow trimmed house with a white picket fence every Wednesday for tea, gossip, and sex.  It was my first lesbian sex scene, so we'll have to see if the editor likes it.

Now that the eggs and peeps are eaten, it's back to zombies!
