1. Be more healthy. I'm not sure how I managed to get more out of shape living in Hawaii, but I did. I actually weigh what I did when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, and I had preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome at the time. What the heck? Be more healthy.
2. Be more patient. This is necessary to accomplish number 1. Also extremely important with a 10 year old and a 3 year old. Whoever said it was like raising two only children to have them this far apart was right!
3. Write more. Number 1 and number 2 are necessary to accomplish number 3. And number 3 is essential to my well-being! I need to write, write, write, write ... more, more, more, more.
There! Happy New Year!!

Okay, I did it. I told myself I would only send one query out then edit for a while. But, I couldn't help myself. I sent a second. It went out yesterday to another epub-er. Within 20 minutes of the company sending me the confirmation email, I received a second email stating that "Have Stake, Will Travel" made it past the initial review and was off to the que of one of the editors! Eeeee. I know it's not much, but any little, itty, bitty, bit of good news is definitely welcome.

Have Stake, Will Travel is done! Okay, it's just a rough draft, but yeah! And I really love this one. I mean really. Strong heroine, strong hero. Drawn together by love, connected by destiny. A happy ending. And lots and lots of lovin'!
I will spend some time editing and revising and hope to start queries soon. The first will be NaNoWriMo specific. The others will come much later after more revising!
Mini celebration time.
